Daily Devotions - Tuesday - September 1

​We’re a lot harder on ourselves than God is on us. Yes, there are areas of our lives that need refinement, but God isn’t walking among us with a ruler waiting to slap our hands when we don’t measure up. He’s with us always, leading us and guiding us through this thing called life. 
 
If you’re overwhelmed in the process of “finding your purpose”, that’s not God. The spirit of God brings peace, illumination and understanding in all situations. Pray that His will be made known to you and then be patient in waiting for enlightenment. Relax and learn to move with the spirit of God and not against it. It’s only then that you’ll be at peace and be able to hear God’s leading.
 
I ask that your minds may be opened to see his light, so that you will know what is the hope to which he has called you, how rich are the wonderful blessings he promises his people,
