It’s easy to be distracted when you don’t have a sense of purpose.
My hero of faith is Joshua. He came up under Moses and could’ve easily bought into the lie that he could never be as great as him. But it’s almost as if he was more motivated because he witnessed firsthand the wondrous works of God. He was fully convinced of what God could and would do because he witnessed it all through Moses’ walk. In scripture, we see Joshua have unwavering faith and I believe it’s because he received his instruction straight from God. No time to be distracted when you’re waiting to hear explicit instruction from God. If you’re battling distraction today, steal away and wait for instruction from God. If you don’t hear anything, go back to the last thing He told you to do and be faithful in that. Now therefore arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, into the land that I am giving to them, to the people of Israel.
