Read: Exodus 17:8-16  if you choose, but I’ll give you a synopsis.

The Israelites were led out of Egypt by Moses and had just gotten some water after not having anything to drink for quite a while. They are now in the middle of a battle and in a strange turn of events, they are only defeating their opponent when Moses raises his hands.  Every time he drops his hands, they begin losing the battle. When this was discovered Hur and Aaron came alongside Moses and held his arms up.  What a powerful visual for friendship and leadership!

This whole scripture illustrates the beauty of supporting others.   Some in the battle (life journey with you) may not believe, but witnessing you doing what others say is impossible and learning that it is HIM can be miraculous.  Even when others had to hold Moses’ hands up,  he still attended to what God said to do. My realization with this is my job is to do-- To hear God and follow his lead. He will make a way for others to SEE his work. Our job is not to point out his work, but to DO his work. Others will see the witness in that.

Just because someone does not invite God into their lives, they may allow HIM to be a part of their life  because of other’s testimony and that is the beginning of something beautiful- Meghan
