I can get lost in the “what-ifs” and plotting and planning that I lose sight of the fact that God is in control. I have even caught myself saying in my prayer-time “now, God, if this person does this, then that gives YOU the ability to do that”....What a laugh! God can move mountains and He sure does not need me to tell Him how to do that! 1 Corinthians 10:5 illuminates the fact that sometimes we need to examine our thoughts slowly and make sure they align with the truth that God has given us. When we do this, the Holy Spirit does a pretty amazing thing: intervenes and gives this peace that we cannot even explain.
