Our words make a difference.
Henry Ford said when everything seems to be going against you, remember that the airplane takes off against the wind, not with it. Don't let your words bring you along with the naysayers. Our claim of trust in the Lord is so important. It shows that we have faith in his ability to do what he says he will do, but also it shows our faith that we have the ability to speak out into existence some of the things that God has in store for us. Our words do not have magical powers, but if in line with God's truth, words can manifest good things. God has given us the power over this world and given us the victory. If the Holy Spirit is living in us and through us, we are already conquerors! Our trust is imperative in this process. Our words can bring things to pass. If I say I'm having a bad day, I'll likely have a bad day. If I say it started rough, but it's going to improve, there will likely be improvement. Our attitude is sometimes dependent on the words we say to ourselves and others. If I verbalize positivity, I will likely be positive. If I speak ill of myself or others, often the negativity will overflow into my life. If we use words that are edifying and engaging, we will likely get the positivity we so long for. But I am trusting you, O Lord , saying, “You are my God!” My future is in your hands. Rescue me from those who hunt me down relentlessly. Let your favor shine on your servant. In your unfailing love, rescue me. Psalms 31:14-16 NLT -Meghan
