Daily Devotion Friday October 15
Very rarely will anyone die for a righteous person, though for a good person someone might possibly dare to die. 8 But God demonstrates his own love for us in this: While we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ~Romans 5:7-8
Who is on your kidney list? Who would you be willing to donate a kidney to? That’s probably a short list. And my guess is that someone has been added to your list, and some removed from that list over time. God demonstrates just how much he loves us because everyone is on his kidney list, including people who don’t even believe in God or are estranged from God. The thing is, no matter who we are or what we’ve done, we will always be on his kidney list. In fact, Jesus gave his life, not just his kidney, and showed us just how much we are loved. Are you living like that’s true? Or do you live believing that somehow you missed the list or are one mistake away from being removed from this list?
Prayer: God, Thanks for giving me what I needed most, when I needed it the most, even when I didn’t recognize how badly I needed you. I love you, too. Amen.
