Daily Devotion - Friday - February 26

Come unto me, all ye that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. 
Matthew 11:28 ASV

This Bible verse says come to me…..I will give you rest.  Jesus wants us to let Him take our burdens. 
When He says come to me, I think of the words return to me instead, as in come to me again….It’s like the one day at a time concept- every day we have to return to HIM.

We lay our cross down at His feet and we ask Him to take it for us.  I don’t know about you, but I often find myself picking it right back up.  That’s why this resonates with me….He knows that we will come, but also that we will go away. He welcomes us to daily return to HIM. -Meghan
