Daily Devotion Friday February 11
It is easier to build strong children than to repair broken men. Frederick Douglass
Children are sponges. They really take things in and absorb it as truth. When a child is not revered for the gift they are, they know….they may not have the language to share it, but they are aware. Many times, poor self image can manifest itself in acting out. How often do we hear of a child who gets no attention at home who then acts out at school because ‘some attention is better than none’? In the Bible we learn about the soil and how the seeds sown may grow. Let us be aware of the soil we plant in and plant good seeds. Let us always be aware that we have such an impact on others in our words and our behavior toward others. Our words are seeds. Sow them well.
